Институтът по полимери – Българска академия на науките обявява 2 позиции за специалисти с опит при работа с научно-изследователска апаратура и специализирано оборудване. Позициите са финансирани по проект POLINNOVA на 7 РП на Европейската комисия и са с продължителност до 30 септември 2015 год.
Изисквания към кандидатите: висше образование (бакалавър/магистър) в областта на природните/инженерните науки, 3+ години стаж по специалността, добър английски език. Опит с Европейски проекти и програми и работа в международно обкръжение ще се считат за предимство.

Д-р Еми Халаджова спечели награда за изключителен принос в областта на науката
Д-р Еми Халаджова спечели стипендия за изключителен принос в областта на науката. Средствата се отпускат по линия на световната програма на ЮНЕСКО “За жените в науката“, която подпомага постижения в областта на природните науки в цял свят. Стипендиите са учредени с цел да поощрят жени учени към по-нататъшно професионално научно развитие. Програмата цели да осигури помощ и подкрепа за млади жени, посветили се на научноизследователска работа, чрез награждаване със стипендии за най-добрите научни проекти в областта на естествените науки. “За жените в науката“ помага и за създаване на общество, което популяризира разнообразието, равенството, иновациите, съзидателността и прогреса. Българските национални стипендии се предоставят благодарение на партньорството между L'Oréal България, Националната комисия за ЮНЕСКО и Софийския университет „Св. Климент Охридски“.
Проектът на Еми Халаджова се занимава с възможностите за контролиран пренос на ДНК молекули и лекарствени средства в организма. В бъдеще този метод може да има приложение в генната терапия. Стипендията бе връчена на официална церемония на 5 март 2013 год. пред Аулата на Софийския университет „Св. Климент Охридски“.
One position for experienced Intellectual Property Manager
The Institute of Polymers – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IP-BAS) announces the availability of one position for experienced IP/R&D specialist. The position is funded within POLINNOVA project by the European Commission under the Capacities program.
Job Description: IPRManager
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong passion for technology to drive IPR issues within the project. This includes responsibility for the overall program management of the patent portfolio andintellectual property asset management. You will workwith the Management of the Institute of Polymers and highly qualified scientists.
Responsibilities
Interact with both research and technical team members across the Institute to understand research initiatives and current and future product and technology development
Manage the ‘idea to patent’ lifecycle
Establish an annual IP delivery roadmap together with the relevant stakeholders
Ensure timely and successful delivery of the goals of the Innovation Strategy in accordance with the roadmap
Manage the development and delivery of market product analysis, recognizing the trends and implications of future IP
Administer the patentsissued
The candidate will also be involved in:
Identifying potential synergies for IP with companies, non-profit organisations and other academic institutions;
Enhancing the culture and awareness ofthe researchers on IP, including an ongoing evaluation of Institute research for IP potential;
Staff training.
Contribution to elaboration of the Innovation Strategies of the Institute
Skills/Experience
Master degree or PhD in the relevant field
5+ years of experience in IP/R&D Organizations
Skills related to patent search, patent drafting and intellectual property asset management.
Educational backgroundin Chemistry/Physics/Biology/Engineering is an advantage
Very good literacy in English languageis a must. Second foreign language would be considered as an advantage.
The funds for the position are available for up to 33 months. Contract will be signed starting from February 2013.Salary: € 29,520 per annum in equivalent of Bulgarian currency gross estimate before deduction of taxes.

6 positions for experienced researchers - € 31,116 per annum
The Institute of Polymers – Bulgarian Academy of Sciences(IP-BAS) announces the availability of six positions for experienced researchers. The positionsare funded within POLINNOVA project by the European Commission under the Capacities program.
The main goal of the project is to enhance the research capacity of IP-BAS and to unlock its innovation potential for developing vanguard polymers for high added value materials and devices. The successful candidatesare expected to conduct original research in collaboration with the departments of IP-BAS in the research areas of
(i) Synthesis and modification of polymers
(ii) Nanosized and nanostructured polymer materials
(iii) Polymer-based hybrid materials
(iv) Adapting new characterization methods for polymer materials
(v) Polymer materials for biomedical applications
(vi) Polymer materials for environmentally relevant applicationsand
to contribute actively to the activities planned in the context of the POLINNOVA project (scientific publications, participations to meetings and events, conference attendance and secondments, preparation of educational and scientific materials, student advising, project management and coordination, etc.).
Eligible applicants are at career stage of experienced researcher: PhD in a relevant field to the above mentioned; at least 3 years experience in the corresponding field after obtaining the doctoral degree. Individuals with a good academic track record as well as leadership and management skills are sought.
The funds for these positions are available for 30 months. Contracts will be signed for up to 30 months starting from February/March 2013.Salary: € 31,116 per annum in equivalent of Bulgarian currency gross estimate before deduction of taxes.
