The General Assembly of Scientists at the Institute of Polymers, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IP-BAS), is one of the three governing bodies of the institute. It includes all individuals who hold academic positions or possess scientific degrees and are actively engaged in the institute’s primary work.
Among the important powers of the General Assembly of Scientists at IP-BAS are the following: to adopt, amend, and supplement the Regulations on the organization, activities, and management of the Institute of Polymers; to elect, modify, and supplement the composition of the Scientific Council of IP-BAS; jointly with the Scientific Council, to approve the scientific research and financial reports of IP-BAS; to discuss the programs of candidates for the position of the director of IP-BAS through announced competitions, etc.
The current chairman of the General Assembly of Scientists at IP-BAS was elected by the decision of the National Assembly on June 24, 2021, for a term of four years.
