Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nicoleta Stoyanova won the national award “Prof. Ivan Shopov” of the Union of Chemists in Bulgaria for “Outstanding Young Scientist in the Field of Polymers” for the year 2021.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Katya Kamenova-Stoyanova and Eric Dimitrov won first prizes in the sections of “Chemical Sciences” and “Chemical Technologies,” respectively, at the XVIII Scientific Poster Session for Young Scientists, Students, and Ph.D. Students organized by the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy – Sofia.
Ph.D. student Nasco Nachev and Eric Dimitrov were awarded for the best poster at the 12th Scientific Session “Young Scientists in the World of Polymers.”
Eric Dimitrov was awarded the second prize for the best presentation at the Third Youth Scientific Session on Biomedicine and Quality of Life.
At a ceremonial event on May 24th – the Day of Saints Cyril and Methodius, Bulgarian Alphabet, Enlightenment, and Culture, and Slavic Literature, the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Acad. Julian Revalski, awarded a diploma and an honorary plaque “Marin Drinov” to the Institute of Polymers. The honorary distinctions were received for significant scientific contribution to the development of polymers, polymer materials, and technologies in Bulgaria, as well as on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Institute of Polymers.
