A significant share of the research in IP-BAS is focused on applied science and can easily turn into innovations and technologies. Therefore, IP-BAS is preferred partner of Bulgarian and foreign companies for the development of innovative products and technologies and for the analysis of polymer-based materials.
Various inventions with applicant IP-BAS have been registered as patents or utility models in the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria. Our recent developments include:
- Method for mechanical stabilization of polybenzimidazoles and ion-conducting membranes.
- Polyzwitterionic hydrogels for dressings for the treatment of chronic and necrotic wounds.
- Composition of a plant protection product.
- Multi-functional rotating cylindrical manifold to electrospinning equipment.
- Composition of stable, water-dispersible, nanoparticles containing berberine chloride.
- Composition of electrospun fibrous materials from polymers and biologically active substances such as essential oils of Salvia sclarea and of Oregano heracleoticum and/or an individual biologically active polyphenolic compound.
- Cosmetic cream containing Poplar propolis and Mursala tea.
- Compositions of forms for topical application to the skin containing Ginkgo biloba seed extract or a mixture of Ginkgo biloba seed extract and an individual biologically active polyphenolic compound.
- A colloidal water system based on Silymarin.
