Considering that highly qualified scientists and specialists are a major factor in achieving significant scientific results and high-quality papers, we accomplish activities for attracting and developing a competent scientific staff. We strive to promote teamwork and good relationships, maintaining a good balance in terms of academic positions, age, and gender.
The scientists at the Institute of Polymers impart their knowledge and expertise in the field of polymer science to junior researchers, PhD students, and graduate students through various forms of training, including seminars, schools, lectures and hands-on demonstrations.
The Institute of Polymers has accreditation to train PhD students in Professional Field: 4.2 Chemical Sciences, doctoral program Polymers and Polymeric Materials.
Scientists from IP-BAS teach PhD students by 5 specialized courses at the Doctoral School at the Training Center of BAS in the scientific direction Nanosciences, new materials and technologies:
- Micro- and nanofibrous polymer materials – preparation by electrospinning, characterization, and applications.
- Advanced polymer materials for the food industry.
- Smart polymer systems and their application in medicine, biotechnology and membrane technology.
- Polymer and polymer-hybrid nanoparticles – synthetic approaches, self-association and potential biomedical applications.
- Polymers in modern medicine
The training of bachelor and master students and the development of graduation theses are traditionally among our main educational activities.
А large number of students receive practical training in IP-BAS under the “Student Practices” project.
